The Andrei Sakharov Prize For Writer's Civic Courage is an annual literary prize established in the Soviet Union by the writers' association "Writers in Support of Perestroika" in October 1990 [1] and continued in the modern Russian federation.
The first recipient was Lydia Chukovskaya.[1]
